Windy, Windy

We planned on moving out this morning at around 6:30 a.m to catch the current and tides going up the Delaware River to the C&D Canal (Chesapeake and Delaware Canal) to bring us into the Chesapeake Bay where we plan to hang out for a while. However, when the winds picked up last night and they are still blowing around 20 knots with gust up to 30. So today we stayed put. Steve made an excellent breakfast - scrambled eggs with peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese with English muffins. Michele baked cookies this afternoon and chicken cacciatore for dinner. Life is good !

After viewing all the pics I'm really jealous of the adventure your having with all the sights. Your moving into an area I'm very familar with when I was station in virginia. I used to patrol cheasepeke bay when I was stationed with a harbor defense unit in Little Creek. All the pics of NY were great. Mom got a kick out of the caption about Atlantic City. Happy sailing.

Loved the pics Those Hell's gates currents looked threatening. Were you nervous? Those kids are adorable......Mom is ambitious to home school. Nothing better than travel to educate....They are fortunate kids.
You two are lucky to have this once in a lifetime opportunity, as well. I think we are all a little envious. Thanks for the updates We enjoy it all, Stay safe and God Bless Sailor's Mate
